Salvador Alemany
President

Barcelona, 1944

An Economist. He has been President of Saba Infraestructuras since July 2011, after being the company Chief Executive Officer from 1987. He has been President of the Abertis Group (2009-2018) and previously held the positions of Chief Executive Officer of Abertis and Managing Director of Acesa Infraestructuras. Salvador Alemany currently also holds the positions of President of the Board of Trustees of the Gran Teatro del Liceu, President of the Institut Cerdà and President of Geever. In addition, he is Honorary President of the Barcelona Garages Guild and of ASESGA (Spanish Association of Car Parks and Garages). Among other roles, he has been Patron of the “la Caixa” Banking Foundation, President of the Cercle d’Economia civic association (2008-2011) and President of the Catalan Government’s Advisory Council for Economic Reactivation and Growth (2011-2015).

Josep Martínez Vila

Igualada, 1960

A graduate in Economic Sciences from the University of Barcelona and holder of an MBA from the ESADE business school. Chief Executive Officer of Saba Infraestructuras since July 2011. He held a variety of leadership positions in the group between 2003 and 2011: General Manager of Business and Operations (2009-2011) and General Manager of Corporate Management and Diversification (2003-2009). His professional career from 1996 to 2003 was at Acesa, where he joined as controller initially, becoming Director of Strategic Planning and Corporate Control in 1999. Prior to 1990 he held posts related to analysis of lending transactions (company financing) at the “la Caixa” banking foundation and, between 1990 and 1996, to management control of “la Caixa” investee companies. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Foment del Treball federation, of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Confederation of Business Organisations (CEOE) and of the Regional Council of the Spanish Association of Managers (AED) in Catalonia, among other institutions. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Cellnex Foundation and of the Board of Trustees of the Institute of Economics of Barcelona (IEB).

Jordi Díez
Spain Car Park Business Director

Barcelona, 1964

An Economist. He has held the position of Car Parks Business Director Spain since May 2014. He joined the company Saba Aparcamientos in 1997 as Chief Financial Officer and was appointed Deputy General Manager in 2003, a position he held until 2010, when he took on General Management. Before that he held various leadership positions at CaixaHolding and at the firm Arthur Andersen.

Josep Oriol
International Car Park Business Director

Barcelona, 1961

A Civil Engineer and graduate of the Senior Management Programme (PADE) from the IESE business school. International Car Parks Business Director since 2014. Until October 2016, he was Director of the Group’s Logistics Division. Previously, he served as General Manager of the Consortium of Logistics Parks (CPL) and was General Manager of the Port Authority of Barcelona between 1998 and 2009. He has also been Dean of the School of Civil Engineers of Catalonia (2006-2014).  

Josep Maria García
Economic-Financial Director

Barcelona, 1968

An Economist and postgraduate in Economic Rights. Economic and Financial Director of Saba Infraestructuras since July 2011. He has also been in charge of Internal Auditing and Risk Management since January 2019. He previously served as Director of Corporate Tax Advice at Abertis, a Group he joined in 2001. He has also held leadership positions at the Cuatrecasas Abogados law firm, Banc de Sabadell and Arthur Andersen, always in financial and insurance fields.

Clara Alonso
People & Organization Director

Göppingen,1966

A graduate in Psychology, with a Diploma in Labour Relations and graduate of the General Management Programme (PDG) from the IESE business school. Director of People and Organisation at Saba Infraestructuras since March 2016. Prior to that, she served as Director of Human Resources for Spain and Portugal for Coty (2012-2015). She has also held positions of responsibility at Caixa Manresa (2005-2011), Miba and Valeo, always in the Human Resources field.

Joan Manel Espejo
Technology and Systems Director

Barcelona, 1964

A Telecommunications Engineer, holding an MBA from the EU Business School and a graduate of the General Management Programme (PDG) from the IESE business school. In the post since September 2018. He was General Manager of Saba Estacionamientos —a Group subsidiary in Chile— between 2015 and 2018. He joined Saba Infraestructuras in 2009 as Director of Management and Business Strategy. His professional career before that was in the field of ICT, where he held various managerial roles, with Information Systems Management for Retevisión and Business Coordination Management at Abertis Telecom particularly noteworthy.

Amadeu Martí
Technical Director

Barcelona, 1963

A Civil Engineer, also holding an MBA from the ESADE business school. Technical Director of Saba Infraestructuras since July 2011. He joined the Abertis Group in 1992 and took on Operations and Construction Management for Abertis Logistica in 2003. Before that he held leadership positions at Parc Logístic de la Zona Franca, Aucat and Acesa.

Carlota Masdeu Toffoli
General Secretary and Legal Advice Director

Barcelona, 1966

A graduate in Law and holder of a Master’s Degree in Tax Advising from the University of Barcelona. She has held her current position since July 2011. Prior to this, she worked in several roles in the Abertis Group’s Corporate Legal Department, where she was Head of Business Management from January 2010. She also held leadership positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers and at the Folchi Asociados law firm.

Miguel Ángel Rodríguez
Planning, Control and Business Development Director

Barcelona, 1975

A graduate in Business Administration and Management. Director of Business Development, Planning and Control since May 2014, an area that has included Efficiency projects since January 2019. He joined Saba Infraestructuras as Director of Business Development in July 2011. Prior to that he was Director of Corporate Development Projects at Abertis, a company in which he held various positions of responsibility after leaving Acesa, which he joined in 1997.

Elena Barrera
Head of Communication and Institutional Relations

Vinaròs, 1969

A graduate in Information Sciences. In the post since July 2011. She joined the Abertis Group in 2003 and was Head of Highway Communication and Telecommunications from 2008. Between 1993 and 2003 she worked at the newspaper ABC and, previously, at the international news agency EFE.

Alberto Ceccarelli
Country Manager Italy

Udine, 1967

Economist. He is Saba’s Country Manager in Italy starting April 2022. With an extensive international experience in the world of telecommunications, he has been the Managing Director of City Wonders, one of the world’s leading Tour Operators (2018-2021). He also served as Marketing and Customer Care Director at NTV-Italo (high-speed train) between 2014 and 2016. Previously, he served as Chief Innovation Director for the Autogrill Group and Commercial Director for TIM Holding and TIM Brasil.

Mario Grega
Country Manager Slovakia & Czech Republic

Prešov, 1970

Graduated in Economics. Country Manager of Saba in Slovakia and Czech Republic since December 2018, when Saba acquired Indigo’s car park division in both countries. Between 2005 and 2018 he was the Managing Director of Indigo Slovakia. Until 2004 he was the head of GTH Slovensko. From 1996 to 1998, he was the sales manager for EUREST in Slovakia. Previously, he also had experience in marketing at Danone and market research at GfK Slovakia.

Phillip Herring
Country Manager United Kingdom

Qualified Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Institute of Directors. He has been the Country Manager of Saba in the UK since 2018, when Saba acquired the Indigo car park division in the country. Since 2005 he was the Commercial Director and the Managing Director of Indigo in the UK. Prior to which he worked for nearly 20 years as a Civil Engineer across a range of public and private sector organisations. He also worked as a highways, traffic, and transportation consultant.

Economist (Faculdade de Economia do Porto), Certified Auditor, Postgraduate in Urban Mobility by UPC School (Barcelona), and International Executive MBA by IE (Madrid). Country Manager of Saba in Portugal since 2016. He assumed the CFO role of Saba in Portugal, as well as Business Development Manager of Saba group. Previously, he was CFO of Imperial (RAR Group, Porto) and Audit and Tax Consulting Manager at Arthur Andersen until 1999.

Rainer Schneider
Country Manager Germany

Cologne, 1958

State law examinations. Saba's Country Manager in Germany since 2019. From 2017 to 2019 he was the Managing Director of Bonner City Parkraum. He has a large experience in the car park industry, ranging from executive to managerial positions in companies such as Q-Park and Apcoa.

Cristóbal Wagener
Country Manager Chile

Santiago de Chile, 1972

Commercial Engineer and Master in Business Management by Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez. Country Manager of Saba in Chile since 2018. Until 2017 he was the General Manager of Petrobras Red Ltda., a subsidiary company of Petrobras Chile. Previously he served as Development and New Business Manager of the same company until 2013. Between 2005 and 2010 he held different positions in commercial areas in the oil companies Petrobras and Exxonmobil.
