ASESGA (Spanish Association of Car Parks and Garages) has recognized the innovative and technological development that represents the implementation of VIA T (OBE) as access and payment system in Saba’s car parks. The company has been awarded with the "Premio Aparcar" within the category of conceptual innovation. In just four editions, the Association’s awards have become the highest award of the parking sector statewide.

After several successful pilot testing in Barcelona and Santiago de Chile, Saba has implemented during 2013 the VIA T electronic access and payment system in 26 of its car parks. The use of this system in short stays, which is over 30%, is already the second most used payment method in the company’s car park network. In 2014, Saba will deploy this system to its entire network.

The OBE (VIA T) device streamlines access to the infrastructure: it allows entry and exit without ticket    —offering the option of receiving the e-receipt easily via web www.saba.es—, bypassing the ATM and with no need of stopping the vehicle. Since 2004, Saba is working on the deployment of this international payment system and electronic control to its entire car park network, the same one currently used in all toll highways, therefore complementary services.
